Is rotation of wind generator affected while charging a battery from it?
I tried to use my 24v dc motor as a wind generator.As I tried to find the current with multimeter then the rotation of the motor were reduced and as I removed the multimeter it was increased.Is this will happen while charging my battery also?I got output voltage around 13v but I could not get how to find the Current.Can any body help me finding the answer?
Power has to come from somewhere. When you put a load on the generator, that means the force needed to turn it goes up, and that probably means it slows down.
But I suspect you were putting the ammeter directly across the generator, which is a short circuit, and is asking the generator to put out a huge amount of power, which it cannot, so it slows down.
Just remember that an ammeter is a short. Be careful where and how you connect it, or you could cause lots of smoke.
Current depends on the load. When you connect a battery, the load depends on the charge state of the battery, and of course, the speed of the generator.

Are electric companies required to buy back the elec from individual home wind generators ?
I have a home made wind generator that charges batteries and an inverter to change it to house elc plus some solar panels. Some one told me they thought the elec companies are required to buy back any access elec I would generate. That would sure be a big help to me as I am on a fixed income. If anyone know this info and reference to where I can get the info so I am armed with it when I approach the elec company it would be greatly appreciated. Darlene
They are not required to, but some do. You'll have to check with your local electric company to see if they offer that service.
