Where can I apply for a grant that will allow me to convert my car to run on waste vegetable oil?
I am a high school student looking to run my first car on left-over fry oil from restaurants. I have researched this and know what i need to do, however I don't have the money to do it. If I could receive even a small grant that would be very helpful. If I am successful in converting my car I hope to become a resource for other students in my area looking to do the same thing. Maybe help with a community oil processing setup(?) who knows.
This only works with diesel engines. Thus, your car has to be a diesel model already to make it work on vegetable oil.

Hi, i know its possible to run a Diesel car on Vegetable Oil BUT does it have to be used or can i just pop into tesco and buy some Vegetable Oil and stick it into my car?
do i have to mix it with normal Diesel?
i have a 1.9 peugeot 306 d turbo.
it isnt a big deal just something i would like to try out without killing the car .

yeah it will work to an extent but there are a few problems that vary from engine to engine...
Veg oil is a very different consistency and will behave differently, especially in cold weather and can also flow differently. It normal has some kind of spirit added in similar biodiesels, white spirit might work.
