I need to power a 680 watt, 6.8 amp snow cone machine from my truck. The machine uses a standard AC cord. Would it be wise to get a separate car or marine battery, and a power inverter? Or is the whole thing too complicated? What equipment would you suggest?
I have a generator, but its big, bulky and noisy. Battery power is my alternative.
you can do it with an inverter just have to make sure you get one with enough wattage if it is going to be used a lot with the truck not running using a separate marine battery would be a good idea they deep charge and will not be going out as quick as you standard car battery

The only way to do it without a power inverter is to supply it with another source of alternating current via an extension cord to an electrical outlet of a nearby building or a power generator mounted near the winch.
110 volt ac is not compatible with 12 volt dc.
