How much further would we be technologically if we had embraced Nikola Tesla's ideas and not Thomas Edison's?
Nikola Tesla was the father of alternating current (AC), which is the most common form of electricity today. Thomas Edison favored direct current (DC), the type of electricity in batteries.
However at the beginning of the 20th century, Tesla invented and had perfected a method of transmitting electricty via the atmosphere, known as the Tesla coil. This method of distribution, would have allowed our homes, buildings, and vehicles to run without the use of fossil fuels or wires. Simply put, free energy for everyone.
Edison favored a land-line wire method of distribution and ultimately won, because there was money to be made. The people with the money obviously weren't in the business to fund a completely free method of power distribution. Ultimately, we ended up with a monthly electric bill.
Where do you think humantiy would be today, if we had adopted this free, unteathered method of power distribution?
That is a very power consuming method of moving electricity power. It sounds like a neat system but takes far more power to move the electricity than our current system.
If we had adopted it then, today we would be very busy building a conventional power grid so we could improve your over all power system efficiency.
Everyone thinks Tesla's ideas were all great but some were simply not practical.

i may not spell this right, but a man named nacoli tesla invented a device which takes radio waves in the thin air and converts it into electricity. On a web site , short viedo, a guy shows how he bought from radio shak for two dollars a few items put it together buy just tieing wires together . then he hooked up a voltmeter to it and showed no current. then he just wired an antenna to it, just a piece of wire and the voltmeter showed current and he charged his cell phone with it. small but it was only to show it works. a larger virsion would power your hole house. i think the plans to make this cost 47 dollars. has any one bought the plans and made this contraption and does it really work. jamesrozzo@yahoo.com thanks.
the oil and coal companies would go out of business: why do u think tesla's biggest discoveries and inventions never seen the light of day? For the same reasons a disinformation campaign was created to paint him as a 'poor madman'. Tesla discovered more than just free energy. He invented things that he knew if fallen into the wrong hands could prove devastating to the whole world. He destroyed most of his paperwork and took things to the grave. Thats why they ruined him.
Learn all u can about him, he was truly a brilliant man. At the same time it may begin to dawn on u what true evil lurks in this world.
