How do I go about getting customers for my commercial janitorial/cleaning company?
I have recently decided to start a janitorial service that focuses on commercial properties. While I have successfully owned and operated a business before, I did quite a bit of research and think that I could do very well in this business. I have read many different things online about how to go about obtaining customers for this business, but I wanted to ask from anyones personal experience. Tell me what method you found to be most successful in getting customers for this kind of business. Thank you.
I clean small offices and have found that direct contact is the best. A lot of times it’s simply cold calling on businesses to find out who is in charge of cleaning so you can set up an appointment or chance to do a free estimate. It helps to get to know property managers. I also look for recent completed or almost completed commercial buildings. Then I take a box of donuts to the job site, find the construction manager, give him the donuts and find out who to contact.
Those are few ideas. I have lots more tips on my Squidoo lens-the link is in My Profile.
Good Luck to you!
