What metal absorbs heat fast and retains it well?
It is for the type of tubing I am going to use in a solar water heating experiment.
There is an old acronym we used to use…”SCATZNILMIK” which gives the relative electric conductivity of readily available and nonprecious metals

etc.
Generally the more electrically conductive a metal is, the better it conducts heat. But generally, any physical object that readily absorbs heat will just as readily radiate or otherwise rid itself of that heat to its cooler surroundings so you will have to think about coating the metal in certain places to avoid this
