Why is it so difficult to focus on blue LED lights?
Blue LED lights have appeared in recent years on anything from Christmas tree lights to police cars. However, they're incredibly difficult to focus on compared to any other light source, often appearing somewhat of a blur. Why is this?
I think it is a combination of being at the blue/indigo/violet end of the spectrum and the way some people's eyes work, especially astigmatism. Black lights are very hard to look at - the purple glow.
My dad had an adventure with blue Christmas lights back in the 60's before LED lights. He went into a store in Chicago and asked for some of the blue lights with the little red end. The clerk had no idea what he was talking about, even when he pointed to lights right there. He (being the kind of person he was) started asking the people waiting behind him, then people passing in the aisle and found some fraction saw little red tabs and thought they were part of the bulb design and the rest didn't see anything. He brought a set home and I could see them and I know I have astigmatism (distortion of lens shape)
Do LED lights inside a car come with an on/off switch or do i buy it seperately? If so where do i buy it?
Im trying to buy either Neon or LED lights to put under my dash and in the back seat of my car. But im not sure whether they come with an on/off switch. If there are certain brands that carry them with a switch what are they or where can i find them? If not then where would i be able to purchase a switch from?
Neons come with an on/off switch built into them and some even come with a pulsing mode that you can set so it will flash on and off with your music. If you want to buy a secondary switch so you can turn all of them on and off at the same time then any hardware store or electronic store would sell a switch for that purpose.

I found the wire that controls the interior lights on and off when the door opens and connected them to that; so every time i open a door they come on and they also have a switch that i can turn them on and off anytime.
