I want to put some led lights under a paper christmas tree and i just need to know how they work, help please?
how do they come as?
i want the kinds that you dont plug in, that are just a few bulbs that are connected to some batteries?
Go to Orchard and buy a string of LED lights: $10 or less; can't beat the cost.
How can I tell if my wire style Christmas tree has led lights? Bought 3 years ago from K-Mart. No info on box.?
Do you see a wire filament in the bulb? Then it is not LED.
If you have a watt/amp meter, measure the amperage of the strand.
If you left the tags on the tree that are on the plug, look for the one that tells you "120 volt", 60 hz, and "xxx amps". If this number is more than 1, you have incandescent lights.
If you can shake a limb with the lights on and the light looks like a strobe, it is probably a half-wave LED. If not, it could still be full-wave LED or incandescent.
