How can an electricity supplier claim that their electricity is more green or cleaner than another company's? Doesn't it all come from the National Grid? Surely they just act as selling agents for the National Grid?
So how do companies justify selling "green" power for more than regular power if it's all the same once it reaches the Grid? Does the extra money go into developing greener ways of producing electricity? (I am thinking specifically of npower in the UK which claims to have greener power than other companies.)
TRUE once it's "on the grid" you can't tell it from any other electricity, but to be fair some electricity is produced by air turbins & water turbins which is a lot "GREENER" than that produced by coal, or nuclear driven generators

Should I buy a $19,000 house with no plumbing or electricity and build a out house and put solar panel/wind tribune electricity and a pool all in the back yard? Do you think anyone would say anything if I keep the place nice and tidy? It has a garage so I could hide the out house. But how can I fix a pool for a green water system? How can I get water? btw this house would be $150,000 with regular plumbing and electricity?
If it is inside city limits, better check with the city to see what they will allow before making any final decisions.
