If we stop buying new cars?
Will it give incentive for auto makers to come up with flying or hovering cars(without wings) as in movie "BACK TO THE FUTURE"?
Because i am tired of seeing automakers keep using same old technology with slight superficial design modifications. What I want to see is real innovation!

yeah but the potential R&D money keeps going into CEO's deep pockets instead because CEOs know that even without any improvement in technology, people will keep buying the cars.
There's no incentive for CEOs to push R&D!
