ev electric car Frequently Asked Questions
Documented in Salt lake Flats by youtube: CRV Electric car beats Ferrari and Porsche 911 who were doing 150 mp?
Check with you tubr for verification and in fact it is now on RECORD . For the record also the EV CRV was doing almost 300mph.
This is hilarious! See an article on the EV which is powered by - are you ready for it? - 10,000 D cells!

At 125 grams per battery, that works out to about 2,755 lbs of batteries. The "car" must weigh a minimum of around 4,000 or 5,000 pounds to account for the two motors, structure, wiring harnesses for 10,000 batteries, pilot, fairings, etc.
I'm guessing you get one run before you've burned these batteries. If they're not rechargeable, that's somewhere around $5,000 per five or ten mile run. Talk about expensive to fuel! If they are rechargeable, thats plugging in 10,000 batteries every run to recharge for, let's be charitable and say, 15 minutes. Now, that's a practical commute.
The lead and acid wastes from these batteries after they're all spent (regardless of whether they're rechargeable or not) ... practically represents another Love Canal Superfund site.
If you have seen the movie "Who killed the electric car", please answer these questions?
1) Were electric cars more common than gas cars? If so, when?
2) General Motors Corporation developed EV-1's in California in response to what?
3)What is the range(miles) of the EV-1 before it needs to be recharged?
4) How is it that car-makers were able to recall all the electric vehicles so quickly?
5)How did some EV-1 drivers express their objections when their cars were recalled?
6) What happened to all the EV-1's once they had been taken away?
7) The government offered tax incentives to both the EV-1 and Hummer drivers. What was the difference between the amounts given for each?
What are potential benefits of only having electric cars on the road? What are the potential disadvantages if only electric cars were on the road?
9) How has this movie changed your opinion on how you will buy a car in the future? If there is no change, please explain why?
10) Who killed the electric car? Give specific examples on how.
Thanks!
It was such a long time ago, but I will try my best.
1. I believe the first cars to ever come out in the beginning were electric.
2. Smog I think; did you know most of the smog comes from unregulated foreign cargo ships.
3. I don't remember, I'm sure you could google it.
4. No one was allowed to own the EV-1, they were only letting people lease them, but I do believe one guy was able to save his and keep it.
No one is sure how he got away with it.
5. I think people only wanted to keep them because they were not allowed to.
6. They were recycled by now, at one time they had them rusting away in a lot.
7. I don't know I missed that part, or I didn't care.
8. None really, you can capture or burn all the toxic gases of a fueled vehicle if you wanted
And batteries are more toxic, just making them is hell on the environment.
9. I thought they should combine the electric and fueled cars into one vehicle, make a very small gasoline engine to charge the batteries so you can use less batteries.
You really only need to push a car up hill and to get it going.
You can also use induction motors to brake the vehicle so it will charge it then too.
10. EVERYONE! Mostly GM, they didn't want a car that didn't need parts all the time, that's where they make a lot of money. Also selling the rights to other companies to make after market parts brings in a lot of revenue.
