Electric to Propane conversion?
We made the mistake of buying a house in an all electric neighborhood. I really hate cooking on an electric stove and I really miss my gas stove. 1. Is it possible to convert to something like propane? 2.What would be involved and approximately what would it cost?
We did this ourselves. The tank is free, since the gas company retains actual ownership. There is the cost of installation, running copper lines from the tank to the stove. It didn't cost much, maybe $100 to $150, perhaps because the gas company wants your business. Note that if you use gas just for the stove, you may get charged a premium for low gas usage. We unfortunately get hit by this. Consider also going gas for your dryer.
The installation was done in one day, actually only a few hours. Go get your stove.
