Voltage question for RC car?
Okay if my electric rc car is a 12 volt car why did it come with a 9.6 volt battery? Can I upgrade to a 12volt, and will it have better performance? If so what... longer battery life... more power?
The charging voltage for the battery has to be higher than the nominal operating voltage for it to charge efficiently. The motor is designed to operate on 9.6 volts. You would need to change the motor and the battery if you wanted to operate at 12 volts (and that would probably mean more power) but it all depends on so many variable factors.
77 chevy camaro electric choke wont stay running?
I got a 77 camaro i bought from a guy who knew little about the car it needs exhaust bad one side is ok,the other is cut and its loud. to the question it has an electric choke on 350 small block. The electric choke isn't hooked up,and its 55 outside I want to take it to the exhaust done but when i throw into gear it dies out.It has new intake edelbrock and manifold its a great motor mostly redone. also has high performance Cam which makes it idle rough. With the choke not hooked up how do I keep it running enough to get it go 3 miles down the road any idea,the exhaust is very loud
Jesus, who are these people? Run your electric choke wire to the hot lead at the windshield wiper motor, which is powered with the ignition switch in the on/run position. Remove the plug at the wiper/washer motor, check which contact has 12 VDC with a voltmeter or "buglight" with key in on/run position then splice into that corresponding wire to power your choke!
