What a good salary? How much disposable income would you say minimmm?
For a family of four Monthly.....like after paying cable, phone, car payment, mortgage, food, savings, xmas club, 401k, health and dental, electric, etc...the basics......if you can pay all these things and still have money left over monthly to do whatever u want with, what would you say constitutes a good salary?
It might be confusing so let me reword it:
If you can pay all these things and still have ________ left over monthly, then you have a pretty good life.
Please don't say a million dollars, im looking for an attainable number.
Midwest, middle-class lifestyle, 2 or 1 incomes doesn't matter, just wondering what is a moderate amount left after everything per month regardless of how many people are working or what they like to do
A family of 4 should have a combined income of at least $60,000 to get by. If you want to enjoy a few extras then you will need at least another $20,000 per year. To enjoy some of the finer things then $100,000 or more combined income would be where you want to be. I know people who earn much less and I know people that earn much more. For the most part all are happy. Money does take away some of the burden of everyday living. The more the merrier. Good Luck.
I want to sell my vauxhall astra estate 1.6 club. Its 02 plate central locking electric windows etc... I brought it 3 months ago for £3695 i am selling it because i have been left £5000 by a relative and thought if i sell my car the money i get from that can be put with my five thousand and i can get a really nice car. Problem is i dont know how much to sell it for i want my money back as i have only had it 3 months any suggestion?

The best measurement is to see what similar cars are selling for in private sales local to you.
You will never get forecourt price (what you paid) for obvious reasons, ie the garage had to prepare it, valet it, put it through the workshop and has his business overheads.
As someone else says, go back to the garage and see what deal they can do as they know the car. Do appreciate though they dont reallly want to put it back on the forecourt as prospective buyers may of seen it sold and then come back.
