What Is A Good Diesel Car (Sedan) That Is Under $15,000?
I was looking at the 2000 Volkswagen Jetta TDI and It looked AMAZING... until I saw the reviews on how much it was to fix the problems that EVERYONE seemed to have... Massive Air-Flow had to be replaced and the bulbs burnt out quickly and the list kept going on and on... PLEASE HELP!!! THANK YOU!!!
avoid volkswagon like a plague they are just too crude and unreliable. you will be much better off in a well maintained 123 body Mercedes[240-300] while these are aging they still hold value and reliability that a "modern" v w will never come close to. and for 15k i know that i can purchase and keep a 123 body running well for 15+ years or about 3 times the average life of a diesel vw
2006 Ford F-250 Powerstroke Good or Bad/Pros and Cons?
I'm on the market to buy a truck. I am looking at a full size truck to haul stuff occasionally and to occasionally haul a car trailer. I driver 45miles one way to work everyday. So I was thinking diesel it the best way to go. I found a nice 2006 F-250 Powerstroke with 62,000 miles on it. My current truck which is a 2000 s10 4x4 that gets 16-20mpg. I would like to stay around that. If you can give me a list of pros and cons of the 2006 powerstroke and give me your opinions and mpg of the newer trucks that would be greatly appriciated. Also if you think a gas truck would be better please voice your oppinion. Thanks in advance for your help.
Well the only problem that I have heard of with the fords is that they have been having turbo problems on their diesels other than that not much else bad to say, but if a turbo blows out they cost a pile themselves, and usually they damage the engine too. If i were you I would look a Chevy or Dodge for a diesel right now, when Ford had the old 7.3 they were the best thing on the road, but this new 6.0 is kind of a dud. If you want a Ford go with a gasoline truck. As far as mileage goes gas usually does better or equal to, and for the most part gasoline is still cheaper to buy than diesel. I would like to have a diesel too but for me it is just not practical.
