my diesel car turns off while going slow without pushing accelator in gear 2 or gear 3?
It runs and starts perfect while pushing the accelator in all the gears and speeds but in case of slow down and without push the accelator the engine goes to turns off usually in city and in gear 2 and gear 3. It is common problem with petrol cars but I don't know why it happens in diesels because the fuel system id different.
as the car is diesel it could be a number of things,?when was it last serviced this can be a simple need of a replacement fuel filter,my advice would be change fuel filter and add a bottle of injector cleaner to the fuel tank.a dirty injector can cause this problem as well on low engine revs.hopefully its not an expensive problem to solve.
