Why do people build homes with more space than they need?
I am not sure why people build 5000 sq ft homes on 1/4 acre lots, then complain about there is not green space. If you want to conserve land please stop building monster houses.
I agree! I personally love big houses with wide, open spaces inside and high ceilings but definitely not on small lots! It looks bad to see a huge house on a small patch of grass and built way too close to their neighbors. I would rather have more lawn and a smaller house. Also, I don't like going into a big house that isn't adequately furnished with enough furniture (or the style is totally wrong such as thrift-store chic) and no evidence of any decorating. It makes me think the people don't really have enough money and they're sinking all their money into the house. Just get a smaller house and have everything work together.
Where can I buy turf for an indoor putting green?
I want to build a putting and chipping area in my basement. I've seen really expensive options online ($500). However, I just want to put some basic turf down to kind of chip and putt on a rainy day. Where can I find some astro turf? I was thinking maybe Home Depot or Menard's might have it. Any suggestions as to where to find turf, and also any tips for my putting green would be appreciated! Thanks.
