I would like to find a way to make use of a pond with a capacity of over a million gallons but only having an average flow rate of 1 up to 150 gallons per minuet under a complete flood state. The water is storable and up to 20% disposable with no incoming water. I've looked in to hydropower and steam powered generators fueled by bio style waste such as farm waste like methane. What I need is a new innovation on how to make the most of the available location and water. If anyone has any ideas or knows anyone who does this kind of thing for a living I can use all the help I can get.

At 100gpm and only 1gpm input your 200000 gallons disposable reserve will run out in about 1.5 days and I assume that the head will drop during that period too (by about how much?).
I guess that you don't have reliable long term statistics as to average flow over, say, 10 years but maybe can guess roughly what the average input rate is over a year?
Is there something specific you want to use the electricty for? If it's just for reducing your heating bills and you tend to use more heating when there's a lot of rainfall then a sterling cycle heat pump using the head to pump heat out of the pond might be cost-effective. If it's got to be electricity then do you just want it for short periods each day/weekly/daily but only during the summer/on-demand ? For maximum flexibility (fairly high cost) then you need something that turns whatever natural flow you have into stored energy plus a way of efficiently using that energy when you want - hydrogen production and storage might suit you.
