Can LED lights powered by 3 9V Battery work on 12V Motorcycle Battery ?
I have a Torch/Flashlight with few LED Bulbs, powered by three 9V Batteries. I need to know if I can use these bulbs on my motorcycle which has 12V battery for its electrical needs.
you need to find out if the batteries run parallel or series, if parallel you can use a couple of the same Ohm resistors (in parallel) or a higher wattage resistor to drop the voltage to 9v, if the batteries run in series (27v) do a search for "voltage doubler" to change the 12v battery power to 24v (3v difference shouldn't matter).
cant tell you off-hand what Ohm resistor you need, but again, if you do a search "12v to 9v resistor" i'm sure you'll find the answer.

12v LEDs burning out?
If you put a 12v led on a 9v battery to test it would it burn out immediately?
I'm trying to change the LEDs in my car switches and people who have done it used 12v LEDs with no resistors and it worked fine but when I tried it they immediately burned out. I'm trying to figure out if I need to work on my soldering or if the LEDs I've bought are junk.

The LEDs "with no resistors" actually have internal resistors. You may have purchased LEDs that will survive 12V across them (most LEDs light with only 2V, some burn out if you have more than 5 V across them), but with the correct current (milliamps) flowing through them.
Or they may have enough LEDs in series internally (5 or 6) to survive 12 V across them, but need a current-limiting resistor to keep from melting.
Try a 1000 (1k) ohm resistor (or maybe as low as 300 ohms) in series with your LEDs as a test to see if they light and survive that for any length of time. If they do, then you have the kind of LEDs that don't have internal resistors and you'll have to use external resistors to keep them from popping.
